Condolence: Georgia, I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Jim. The Rohlfsens were like a second family to us Clark girls. I have such fond memories of Stan and Lil and the boys. The farm was a special place, so many fun times. I'm so glad I was able to take my kids back to Le Mars to meet you and Jim and to visit the farm. My deepest sympathy to you and your family Georgia. With love to all, Julie

Condolence: Very sorry to hear about Jim and the loss we all suffer when such a good friend passes. My early childhood of growing up on a farm south of LeMars was dominated by the demands of farming and the need for sharing resources with neighbors to get the job done. The Rolhfsen family was the definition of great neighbors. Jim would use their hay bailler to harvest our alfalfa crop 3 times a year. As I got older and stronger, I would work the hay rack pulled behind the bailer. Jim and I shared many work hours together out in the hay fields. He was an awesome worker and I learned so many good things from him. I was so envious of his 63 Chevy Impala SS. I think our many family friends would celebrate the 4th of July every year, complete with fireworks. Jim and those memories are what make growing up on the farm so incredible. Those special times sustain me as I grow older and are a big part of who I am and what I have accomplished. Thanks Jim for teaching me and showing me what friendship really means. You really were one of the few great guys I have ever known!,

Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear of your family's loss. Please allow me to extend my deepest condolences. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things anyone can experience. Nevertheless, I hoped you might find some comfort in this Bible text: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” - John 5:28, 29.
