Obituary for Keith Selmer Bergerson
Keith Selmer Bergerson, 60, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 in Knoxville, TN following a brief illness. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa. Military honors will be conducted by Wasmer Post # 241 of the American Legion. A time of visitation and sharing with his family will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.
Keith Selmer Bergerson was born on October 3, 1958 in Le Mars, Iowa to Selmer and Darlene (Yates) Bergerson. He graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1976. Following graduation, Keith enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Lakenheath, England and attained the rank of Sergeant prior to his honorable discharge. He used the medical training he received in the Air Force for a career in the health care industry.
Keith will be remembered for his great sense of humor, kind heart and love of music.
He will be deeply missed by his twin daughters, Jessica and Erica Bergerson; granddaughters, Emelia and Amiyah Bergerson; his mother, Darlene Bergerson; sisters, Tammy (Ken) Knight and Lisa (Nick) McBride; niece, Casondra Knight; and nephews, Austin and Asher Altena.
He is preceded in death by his father, Selmer Bergerson on July 11, 2008; grandparents, Clarence and Leona Yates, Brady and Magna Bergerson.
