Condolence From: Richard Seivert
Condolence: Margaret and Family, you have my deepest sympathy for the loss of John. However, he is reflected in some of the nicest young people I ever had at Gehlen Catholic. I truly enjoyed the many times when John would donate baseball items to Honduras. He was always sincere about trying to help other kids, even in Honduras, experience what the kids of LeMars often take for granted. He was a great leader, a great husband, and a great father. My heart is sad for all of you.

Condolence: Margaret & family, Our family will never forget the day we presented John with a check for the Little League at Jason's Memorial Golf Tournament. It was a surprise and the look of shock and gratitude on his face was priceless. He loved golfing in the tournament and we will be forever grateful for his support to us in that endeavor. He will now have a chance to thank Jason in person. We are honored to have known John. I will always remember when Jason died what a friend told us when I said he didn't deserve to die..........She told me.....Jason DID deserve to die because he deserves the best in heaven. Our thoughts are with all of you in this tough time and in the years ahead. The entire Puetz Family

Condolence: Dear Margaret and family When we moved to Le Mars over 30 years ago for my husband to be Pastor at Grace Lutheran Church, we were told that John was dedicated to the baseball program of the community. I would like to thank your family for allowing him to be at the ball park so much. It no doubt, took from family time for you, but as you can see from messages it was appreciated! Thank you for being a family that has made a big difference in Le Mars!! My prayers are with you. God will give you courage and strength in the days to come!

Condolence: To the entire Britton family, we give our most sincere condolences! John will be truely missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. I'm one of the lucky ones! I got to work right next to him for 6 1/2 years! John taught me a lot of things about insurance and life! He really taught me to see things in a different light, when I got off track :) Not only was I priviledged enough to work with him, but more importantly, he was my friend! I will miss him dearly! I can only hope that I can service his clients half as well as he did! I will do my best in his honor! Take care of yourselves, and let us know if you need anything!

From the many condolences, I see that never changed. I leave you with this great Irish Blessing; "May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand".

Condolence From: Mike Eisma Family
Condolence: To the Britton Family: So sorry to hear the sad news. Our daughter Jessica relayed the news to me Thursday evening. John always had kind words to Jess at the diamonds. I know the biggest impact on Jessica was one time when some boys were picking on Jess and of course John came to her rescue and from then on John and her were soul mates in Jess's eyes. Then again John was everyone's friend for life after first meeting. God grant you the peace you will need to get though this especially during the holiday season. The diamonds will surely miss his passion for kids, the game, and life itself.
