Her former pastor, James Pointer, will officiate. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 26th at Sioux City Baptist Church. Pastor Quentin Vaughn will officiate. Lunch will be served immediately after the service. The graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Memorial Cemetery in LeMars.

Barbara was born on February 8, 1929 to Robert and Helen (Bray) Wick in Tyndall, South Dakota. She was the youngest of three girls. Barbara graduated from LeMars High School in 1947. She was a member of the student council, the scholarship club, the band, had the lead role in the senior play, and was Secretary-Treasurer of her class.

While attending Westmar College, Barbara began dating Raymond Korff in September 1947. They became engaged the following Christmas and then married in March 1949. The couple had five children and were married for more than 66 years.
Barbara cherished being a wife, homemaker and mother. She thought it was her highest honor to serve her family. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and baking; she used her talents to be a blessing to her family and friends.

Ray and Barb accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior in 1973. Shortly thereafter they joined Sioux City Baptist Church and remained faithful members for over 44 years. Barb taught the 2nd grade girls Sunday School class for 38 years. She cleaned the church building as unto the Lord until she was almost 80 years old. She lived her life to be an example to her children, a blessing to others, and a faithful servant to the Lord.
Barbara is survived by all five of her children: Randall and his wife Toni of Mayfield, KY; Sandy and her husband Pastor Ron Ruark of Tustin, MI; Natalie and her husband Pastor Gary Hall of Meyersville, TX; Becky and her husband Clifton Vance of Arlington, TX; and Stephanie and her husband Lanny McManigal of Sioux City, IA. Barb had 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, and both siblings, Bette Holland and Bonny Hammer. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. We rejoice in the knowledge that though she is absent from the world she is present with the Lord. Just as in Proverbs 31 we can say, “Her children arise up, and call her blessed.”
