Obituary for Roxann Marie Scofield

Roxann Marie Scofield, 53, of Hinton, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her sister’s home, surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life and Time of Sharing will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. James Church Parish Hall in Le Mars.

Roxann Marie Scofield was born on August 13, 1965 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Douglas and Kay (Pueppke) Scofield. She attended North High School in Sioux City. Roxann later took a position with Brother’s Paper Box in Sioux City and worked as an operator for 12 years. In later years she was a nanny for her nieces and nephews.

Roxann’s most treasured times were spent with her family. She also enjoyed baking. Her favorite recipe to prepare was her mother’s homemade chicken noodle soup. Along with baking and cooking, Roxanne loved to draw and color flowers.

Grateful to have shared her life is her daughter, Mikayla McGennis and her son, James McGennis both of Hinton, Iowa; a brother, Mickey Scofield of Sioux City, Iowa; a sister and her husband, Rhonda and Mark Williams of Le Mars, Iowa; a sister and her husband, Robin and Kelly Swick of Washta, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leo; and two great nephews, Dedrick and Caden.
