Remsen, Iowa – Carol Ann Bond, 68, of Remsen, Iowa passed away on Monday April 29, 2019 at MercyOne in Sioux City, Iowa. The family will celebrate Carol’s life privately.
Carol Garrett was born on September 15, 1950 in Eugene, Oregon to Thomas & Ann (Schaaf) Garrett. She graduated from Eugene High School in 1969 and joined the United States Marine Corps. Carol completed Boot Camp at Paris Island and was stationed at Arlington, VA where she met David Bond. The two shared 48 years of marriage that began on November 21, 1970 in Bethesda, MD.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David; a son Chris (Jennifer) Bond; daughters, Heather (Steve) Rains and Amber (Gene Halbmaier); 10 grandchildren; a sister Lorrie Dick and a brother Tom Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Steve Garrett, and her step-mother, Donna Garrett.
