Gary J. Mouw, 76, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Unity Point Health in Sioux City, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Parish-St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Father Bruce Lawler will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, with the family present from 4-7 p.m. with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a Scriptual Prayer Service at 7 p.m., all at the church.

Gary John Mouw was born on October 20, 1944 in Sheldon, Iowa to Guy and Irene (Budde) Mouw. He graduated from Heelan High School in Sioux City, Iowa and enlisted in the United State Air Force, where he was a fireman. He obtained the rank of Sergeant. On May 1, 1993, Gary and Konnie Norseen were united in marriage in Lexington, Nebraska.
Over the years, Gary worked at his family’s business, Ready Cut Potatoes in Sioux City, Well’s Dairy Warehouse, Bodeans Baking Company as a machine operator and Le Mars Public Storage. He also delivered newspapers for the Daily Sentinel for several years. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish-St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. He loved to fish, watch football, wash and wax cars, attend car shows and take care of the lawn and landscaping. Family was most important to Gary.
Gary is survived by his wife, Konnie of Le Mars; his children, Michelle (Randy) Pinney of Laurens, IA, Gary, Jr. (Anne) Mouw of Brookings, SD, Brian (Samantha) Mouw of Kingsley, IA, Jon (Bouvin) Mouw of Sioux City, IA, Krista Mouw of Sioux City, IA, Grace Mouw of British Columbia, Canada and Ambrea Mouw of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Austin and Kaitlyn Pinney, Jazzilynn and Rolland Smith, Zarin and Jayda Norwich, Navaya, Justice and Gemma Mouw and Isaac Mouw; great grandchildren, Landyn and Laiken Pinney; a sister, Mary Ann (Aaron) Sawin of Sioux City, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jordan Mouw; his brother Ronald (Grace) Mouw; a sister-in-law, Karen Hying; his in-laws, Dean and Eldene Norseen.
