Obituary for Jennifer Lynn Loyd
Kingsley, Iowa – Jennifer Lynn Loyd , 40, of Kingsley, Iowa, formerly of Montgomery, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 21, 2021 at her home in Kingsley. A time of sharing memories with Jennifer's family will be on Thursday, June 3 from 10-12 at the Johnson-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley. Jennifer will be laid to rest next to her father in Illinois.
Jennifer Lynn Loyd was born on November 4, 1980 in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of Delbert and Martha (Salazar) Loyd. She attended school in Jacksonville, Illinois, graduating from the Illinois School for the Deaf. Jennifer loved playing basketball at her high school. She was an avid reader and regular at the local library. She enjoyed watching drama and romance movies with her mother. The Hallmark channel and Gilmore Girls were her favorites. She was a whiz when it came to any sort of puzzles.
Grateful to have shared her life with her is her mother, Martha Loyd of Kingsley, IA; her two older brothers, Jeremiah Loyd, Sr. of Sioux City, IA and Joshua Loyd of Kingsley, IA; her grandfather, Benny Loyd of Titusville, FL; aunts and uncles, Brenda (Don) Rahn of Nashville, TN, Louisa Echebarria of Robstown, TX, Gene (Joan) Loyd and Jess (Maggie) Loyd all of Titusville, FL; her sister-in-law Lori Davila of Sioux City, IA; nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Jody, Jeremiah Jr., Jacob and Juelz Loyd of Sioux City, IA and Jillian Johns of Indiana as well as many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Charles Loyd; grandparents, Manuel Salazar, Jr., Rev. Sofia V. Salazar and Lucille Loyd; two uncles, Manuel Salazar, III and David Echebarria Sr.; and her older brother, Jody Lee Loyd who died at birth.
